AT A GLANCE

The practical answer.

Give suppliers a consistent fleet brief covering cart configuration, duty, charging, installation, traceability and acceptance.

Group carts by real configuration

Begin by listing cart models, controllers, chargers, accessory loads and any existing modifications. A fleet may look uniform while containing electrical differences that affect battery compatibility. Group vehicles by approved configuration and identify the intended battery replacement or conversion scope for each group. Ask a qualified cart specialist to resolve undocumented equipment changes before suppliers quote. This avoids standardizing a battery around assumptions that apply to only part of the fleet and reduces uncertainty during installation and later maintenance.

State the operational requirement

Describe daily use, passenger or cargo loads, terrain, charging opportunities and the minimum operating period needed. Distinguish a typical day from the demanding conditions the fleet must still support. Include storage periods and seasonal operation where relevant. Ask suppliers to state the assumptions behind capacity and current proposals. For fleet procurement, completing a defined duty with an agreed reserve is usually a clearer acceptance requirement than an unsupported maximum range claim that may have been measured under unrelated conditions.

Ask for a complete installation scope

Request the proposed battery model, configuration, drawing, mounting approach, connector information and compatible charging arrangement. Identify which cables, accessories and installation activities are included and which remain the buyer's responsibility. Have qualified personnel review the cart's protection and isolation design. Any charger replacement or controller setting change should be explicit. A low battery unit price can be misleading when other offers include more of the work needed to produce an approved, serviceable vehicle configuration.

Review support, documents and change control

Ask for current specifications, installation and storage instructions, relevant model documents and clear product identification. State how packs will be traced by vehicle and lot. Request the process for warranty assessment, technical support and proposed component substitutions. Keep warranty terms separate from expected service duration and performance test claims. If a different cell, BMS or firmware is proposed later, require an assessment of its effect on the approved cart installation instead of treating a familiar commercial model name as sufficient evidence.

Agree pilot approval before fleet rollout

Select a representative pilot group and define the route, payload, charging and acceptance checks with the responsible vehicle team. Record the final cart and battery configurations and resolve open issues before extending the solution to the fleet. Confirm current quantities, lead times and commercial conditions for the approved version. A Jetray RFQ should include this fleet brief and ask for a proposal specific to those vehicles. The pilot record then gives purchasing, installers and maintenance staff a shared reference for repeat orders. Record the vehicles covered by the approval so later additions to the fleet receive their own configuration check before installation.

Bring these points into the inquiry.

Use the checklist to organize a project discussion, then request the exact model specification, drawing and relevant evidence.

Review the published reference and its integration questions. A similar voltage, format or application label does not establish compatibility.
